The first step is to avoid eating foods high in saturated fat. Fortunately, our food are now labeled so that we can buy items low in fat. Remember to look for items low in saturated fat . The two fats that are usually tested for when you doctor orders a lipid panel are cholesterol and triglyceride. If diet alone doesn't help, then you need to discuss other alternatives with your primary care provider.
